10 THINGS THAT GOVERNOR MUNG'ARO DID IN 2024 THAT SHOCKED EVERYONE. 


1.He hosted the biggest and most successful International Investment Conference in Kenya where President Ruto attended and gave a thumbs up to Governor Mung'aro for hosting such an important initiative.Investments worth Billions of shillings were secured for Kilifi County. 

2.He made Kilifi Number One(1) County In Kenya on Allocation of Development Funds. 

3.He launched the FULL-SCHORLASHIP PROGRAMME  where 2,212 national-school going students' school fees are fully paid by his administration. 

4.He connected clean Water in Chamari in Magarini Sub-County for the first time in history since Kenya got its Independence. 

5.His development track record made him appear among the TOP TEN (10) GOVERNORS in Kenya ranked at  Position 9, the highest rank Kilifi county has ever managed since Devolution started in Kenya.

6.He connected clean water in Tsangatsini-Kayafungo in Kaloleni Sub-county for the first time in history since Kenya got it's independence.

7.He did a ground-breaking of the First Stadium in Kilifi County since Kenya got it's independence where fencing of the stadium has already  been done, awaiting it's full construction. 

8.He held the First ever Governor's Cup Tournament  in Kilifi County where teams from all over the county participated in an effort to form a county teams that will represent the county in national football tournaments.Nothing like this has ever been done in Kilifi since devolution started in Kenya. 


8.He secured investors for the construction of the first Special Economic Zone in Kilifi County in a 3,000 acre piece of land in Kayafungo where it will be the industrial hub of Kenya, offering over 20,000 jobs for Kilifians. 

9.He started the construction of the one-of-a-kind KILIFI COUNTY STAFF HEADQUARTERS where all the county staff will be domiciled to offer services to the great people of Kilifi.Kilifi county has been renting office halls for the past 10 years. 

10.He established three extra Municipalities in the county i.e Mtwapa, Mariakani and Watamu which will bring service delivery closer to the people.This move has also created hundreds of jobs to majority of Kilifians in the specific areas the municipalities have been created such as cleaners, office workers and cess officers.

KILIFI COUNTY TOPS AS THE MOST IMPROVED COUNTY IN KENYA.  Kilifi County has emerged as the most improved devolved unit in Kenya, rising from position thirty-five in 2023 to thirteen in 2024. Infotrak attributed the leap under Governor Gideon Munga’ro to improved service delivery across twelve sectors ofdevolved functions, according to a survey released on Monday.
