There was drama at Majaoni Secondary School when both parents and students of the school rose up in arms and stormed the principal's office and ejected out the principal and his deputy for repetitive poor performances in National Exams.

The parents blamed the Principal for the poor performance of the school due to his poor administrative skills that has brought negative impact on the education of their children.

Speaking to editors of Kilifi News Updates, the parents said since the Principal came to the school, there has been reduction in the mean score of the school and they see no sign of improvement five years down the line.

"We dont want this principal here anymore,he should be replaced with immediate effect for this school to improve. We have tried to talk to him to change the mode of operation within the school but he has ignored us completely insisting that he knows what he is doing but nothing has changed so far,"said one of the agitated parents while carrying a twig of tree at the gate of the school after seeing off the Principal.

The students, who were in support of their parents claimed the principal  was highly incompetent and applied dictatorial tactics to manage the school instead of consulting with them and their parents on the challenges they are facing in order to improve in their studies.

Chants of "Mwangi Must Go" were heard all over the school with some students seen throwing lockers and chairs all over in utmost shock of the school staff who had locked themselves in their staffroom, fearing they would be the next targets from the angry students.

Mr.Mwangi, the school principal could not be reached on time for a comment on the matter and its yet to be seen how the Ministry of Education will handle the matter for studies to resume in the Mixed Day School with close to approximately 3960 students in the outskirts of Mtondia town.
