Kenya Roads Board Chairperson, Aisha Jumwa got into a new low as shame gripped her after investigations proved that there was no fight in the county assembly of Kilifi and there is nothing like an assault that was recorded by the hawk-eyed CCTV cameras positioned all over the County chambers. 

In a change of events, investigators who were drawn from multiple investigative agencies combed into the CCTV cameras at the County Assembly of Kilifi to find evidence of the highly hyped assault. 

However, the investigators found nothing to implicate the honourable members, Ibrahim Matumbo and Abdulkarim Twahir,who are accused of assaulting a female Member of County Assembly by the name Elina Mapenzi. 

During a much publicized demonstration to the county assembly of Kilifi, Kenya's Roads Board Chair, Aisha Jumwa claimed that the perpetrators of the assault must be apprehended immediately but surprisingly, the police haven't received any formal complaint of the same and no witnesses have recorded statements with the police despite the loud outcry in social media and in demonstrations in Malindi. 

Reports claim that this was more of a political game of cards by a section of opposition leaders in Kilifi and nothing like beating of a female MCA occurred in the house of chambers since there is no evidence to accompany the claims and no witnesses have come forward to confirm the claims to the police which show the kind of political environment the county is grappling with at the moment. 

It is yet to be seen how the Roads Board Chair and her brigadier are going to defend these new claims of lying to the general public that there was an assault at the county assembly of Kilifi without having the evidence to accompany their allegations.

Propaganda has been a widely used machinery to taint an opponent's name in politics and this might be one of the scenarios where even demonstrations are used to cement a well calculated propaganda.

KILIFI COUNTY TOPS AS THE MOST IMPROVED COUNTY IN KENYA.  Kilifi County has emerged as the most improved devolved unit in Kenya, rising from position thirty-five in 2023 to thirteen in 2024. Infotrak attributed the leap under Governor Gideon Munga’ro to improved service delivery across twelve sectors ofdevolved functions, according to a survey released on Monday. The study, which sampled 8000 residents across Kilifi, reported improved delivery in education (48 percent), environment (48 percent), waste management (46 percent), energy (46 percent), social services (46 percent), and culture and sports (46 percent). Kilifi recorded a performance rating of 45 percent in roads and the same score in planning.
